Children's Entertainer

As one of Australia's most popular children's entertainers, Monica has toured Australia extensively since 1992, performing her own live show to thousands of excited children in all capital cities and virtually every regional area in the nation. She still performs these fun filled, interactive live stage shows whenever requested.

Monica started in the children's world as a regular presenter on ABC's "Play School" and continued that for over 10 years. She is the highly recognisable voice for littlies on the "Banana's in Pyjamas" theme song and has released five children's videos and five CDs; titles include;

  • Monica's Trip to the Moon
  • I Love the Zoo

Monica's Trip to the Moon was nominated for an ARIA award in 1999 for Best Children's Release. In 1993 her CD, Monica's Tea Party, received an APRA award for the Best Children's CD of 1993, while her first video, Monica's House, went platinum within three weeks of release.

Most recently, Monica appeared as co-host for "Playhouse Disney" on The Disney Channel and the Seven Network. As a key member of the production team, Monica also wrote, directed and performed a music video exclusively for Playhouse Disney called "Flap, Jack, Rap", and provided vocals on the official Playhouse Disney CD.

Monica first joined The Disney Channel in 1998 as host of "Monica's House". In 1999 Monica was chosen to lead promotions for Mickey's 70th Anniversary Concert then in 2000 and 2001 she starred in The Disney Channel's "Carols in the Domain" spectacular, which was broadcast to a national audience of more than one million viewers. Monica also narrated six mini-books and tapes for Disney including "The Little Mermaid", "The Jungle Book" and "Winnie The Pooh".
